Holosomatic Breath

Transforming the breath into a powerful healing tool.

In general terms, Breath can be described as a natural flow of air coursing through the body with the help of the respiratory system, a process that is vital to maintain the body alive. This is a fascinating process on its own but when you add intent and technique to the breathing, the real beauty of transformation occurs as we become capable to transform something as natural and available to all of us as the breath into a powerful healing tool.

The breathwork I teach consists of various breathing techniques aimed at cleansing your energetic pathways and the release of deeply rooted traumatic energy.

Breathwork done in this way is a powerful somatic experience that helps us to access more of our respiratory system. It helps us to access and clear emotions that have been suppressed or repressed, as well as outdated behavioural patterns.

By inviting powerful transformative energy (as huge amounts of oxygen) inside our energy field, through breath, we are cleansing stagnant energy and making room for the new higher vibrational frequencies to move us on a different level of understanding, healing and action. From session to session, you may experience combinations of different breathing techniques (like pranayama, Holotropic, rebirthing, Jon Paul Crimi, shamanic, Wim Hof) with other healing modalities like meditation, sound therapy, aromatherapy, NLP, depending on the theme of that particular session and your needs at that moment in time.

Breathing Patterns: In conscious connected breathwork, individuals engage in deep, rhythmic, and connected breathing. This typically involves inhaling and exhaling through the mouth or nose without pauses between breaths. The breath is often circular or connected, meaning there is no pause at the top or bottom of the breath cycle.

Conscious Awareness: A fundamental aspect of this practice is conscious awareness of one’s breath. Participants pay close attention to their breath, focusing on each inhalation and exhalation. This awareness helps individuals connect with their bodies and the present moment.

Emotional Release: Conscious connected breathwork is often used as a means to release stored emotions and tension. By maintaining a continuous flow of breath, practitioners may access and release repressed emotions and trauma, leading to a sense of catharsis and emotional healing.

Mind-Body Connection: This practice emphasizes the connection between the mind and body. By engaging in conscious and connected breathing, individuals can experience altered states of consciousness, deep relaxation, and a greater sense of presence.

Therapeutic Benefits: Breathwork is used as a therapeutic tool to address various issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. It can also aid in promoting mental clarity, improving sleep, and increasing energy levels.

Spiritual Growth: For some, conscious connected breathwork has spiritual or transcendent aspects. Practitioners may report experiencing heightened states of consciousness, expanded awareness, and a sense of unity or connection with a higher power or the universe.

Safety Considerations: Although breathwork can be a valuable tool, it is essential to approach it with caution, especially if you have a history of respiratory or cardiovascular issues. In some cases, intense breathwork experiences may lead to temporary dizziness, tingling, or emotional releases, which is why it’s crucial to have a facilitator present.

Breathwork is part of a broader field of complementary and alternative therapies and has gained popularity in recent years due to its potential benefits for relaxation, emotional healing, and personal growth. As with any therapeutic practice, it’s important to explore it under the guidance of a trained and experienced practitioner or facilitator, especially if you are new to conscious connected breathwork.
